this is exactly why I stopped with all the "avoidant attachment" relationship advice. I was researching everything i could find about how to get us to communicate better, and then one day it clicked: he wasnt doing anything like that at all. I was bending over backwards to accommodate him to get him to hear how he was treating me badly, none of it was working, and he wasnt trying to help himself/us *at all*. fuck that.

It's nice having someone see where I'm coming from without me trying to explain it 100 different ways, cause someone is twisting my words and accusing me of having different intentions. But this is exactly what I've been trying to say, but I'm being portrayed as the toxic one or labeled as the combative one.... but I do wonder, why don't they feel safe with me ? If I try everything to hold that space for them?
