Group skill checks as you run them are VERY similar to Skill Challenges, one of the few diamonds in the rough that was 4e! I adapted them from 4e for my Pathfinder 1e games and just kept them through all my games after. They're great and if well designed, let the party use skills they're more specialized in without being game breaking. Love you kids! 💙

how do you encourage your players to take control of the story more? I'm stuck in a loop of I give them crumbs to do shit and then they don't take to them at all and I have to end up feeding them a smaller/quicker answer to something than I'd like because they're waiting for me to feed the story. I want my story to be entirely player lead other than a few major areas and I don't know how to get them to contribute like tiktoks like these require 😭
