@dannythatguy: Last week, the first ever Google Cloud Summit in Africa was hosted in Sandton, Joburg. It was opened by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Senior Google VP James Manyika, and Econet founder Strive Masiyiwa were present too. Google announced 5 initiatives, the biggest of which was a new Digital Exchange Port in the Eastern Cape, connecting to Australia and a new undersea route to India.
