can't remember if it was snap or flatpak, but I remember somehow installing Firefox on my Linux PC in a way that didn't even allow downloading files. I believe that sandboxing should be implemented more broadly in more mainstream operating systems like Windows and macOS

I've noticed something, usually they'd ask you for permission to access your files. but on the second part it asks for permission to edit your file. If I'm wrong please do educate me but that's what I noticed. It's a really different word meaning.

Never give any website permission to access anything… idgaf about social media so they have no need to access anything on my pc… ad block always on… never download anything from a 3rd party site and always virus scan anything you do download before installing it… I’ve had one pc hacked because of letting a friend use it and I’ll never let that happen again

If you don’t trust the website, you should only drag the file you need to be uploaded rather than the whole folder/file library.
