Hi! 5-days a week on the night shift for 8 months - been posting tons of content about nightshift routine. Melatonin and a high protein, low carb meal. If you’re having lots of carbs before you go to bed, you’ll be up for a long time. Also a sleep mask makes a world of a difference. Hope that helps!

I usually stay up til 11-12 the night before my first shift in and wake up early, do my morning routine and workout so I can sleep for a few hours. In between shifts it helps with white noise and blackout curtains!!

My body won’t let me sleep longer than 2 hours. I’ve tried everything. Cold room, blackout curtains, melatonin, Xanax, ear plugs, white noise. My body just won’t do it. Also the world lives during the day. Landscapers, deliveries, garbage trucks etc

Unisom TABS, not the gels. I went from 2ish hours a day, to 7ish. I only started using them a few weeks ago and pray they keep working for me!

This was me 😭 I would sleep 9am-11/12 and was lucky if I could fall back asleep. But started to take olly melatonin & use the dr. Teals melatonin lotion + pillow spray, this combo usually worked but would wake up feeling groggy. Only lasted a year on nights before I had to switch to day shift

Just switch shifts. I used to cry myself to sleep because I couldn’t go back to bed, it was awful. Have to do what’s best for your body❤️

Ok night shifter for almost 2 years here and I refuse to go to days! 1. Stop drinking caffeine after 2-3am even soda contains small amounts of caffeine that keeps me up. 2. I usually fall asleep around 9am and sleep till about 4-5pm. I rarely use melatonin gummies because they make me groggy and overtime of consistent use you develop a tolerance and need more. I take magnesium glycinate as soon as I get home nice hot shower. Black out curtains that really make the room dark, cold a/c, and sometimes the eye mask that have a little cushion around the eyes so if you open your eyes when you wear them it’s still dark. Don’t use your phone before going to sleep I find it actually keeps me stimulated and I have a hard time going back to bed. I also sometimes eat a light breakfast (fiber toast, cottage cheese, egg) nothing sugary because i find that when i go to bed on an empty stomach I’ll want to wake up sooner to eat something. I hope this helps ✨✨✨
