Saying "FIFA loves Messi" every time Argentina wins is not a real football argument. Every big tournament has refereeing decisions that fans debate, whether it's for Argentina, Portugal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, or any other team. If you think there was a foul before Argentina's third goal, that's your opinion, but one decision doesn't erase everything Argentina and Messi did in the match.
Messi's quality was clear throughout the game. He controlled the tempo, created chances, completed difficult passes, dribbled past defenders, and scored an outstanding goal with brilliant technique and composure. Those moments come from talent, vision, and years of hard workโnot because of referees.
What I don't understand is why some Ronaldo fans only talk about the referee whenever Messi wins. If Messi scores, it's "the referee." If Argentina comes back, it's "FIFA." But when Ronaldo or Portugal win after controversial decisions, many of those same people don't say the same thing. Football should be about appreciating greatness, not making excuses every time your favorite player's rival succeeds.
You can support Ronaldo, and I can support Messi. That's football. But saying every Messi victory is because FIFA or the referee ignores what millions of fans and football experts have seen for years. Messi has proven his greatness with his performances, consistency, trophies, goals, assists, and ability to change games. That's why so many people consider him the GOAT.
