My bestie visited me in Taipei, so we had to hit the town for a mom’s night out 🙌🏻. We went to one of the most unique bar experiences in Taipei. @booking_taipei is a hidden speakeasy in the Zhongshan District. It’s located on the 2nd floor of a retail building and requires you to find the hidden panel that opens the door to enter. Once inside, you will discover a spacious, moody bar that is perfect for date night or hanging out with friends and grabbing a bite to eat. The handcrafted cocktails at this hidden speakeasy are all themed after famous movies. They also have a wide variety of fresh fruit cocktails. I ordered a drink inspired by The Devil Wears Prada, which consisted of whiskey, dark chocolate, and a generous dusting of truffle. It was such a good pairing! I was instructed to take a sip of my drink and then follow it with a bite of the chocolate. Unfortunately, due to user error, I dropped my chocolate into the bottom of my glass and had to fish it out later 😂😂 The truffle fries were also amazing and the truffle with truffle was so decadent; I really loved it. A few tips: You can find Book ing Bar on Google Maps, and there is a link to make reservations. I would try booking a table at least 24 hours in advance. The earlier you go, the easier it is to secure a table. Also, the staff did speak some English, but we still used Google Translate for the menu. There are two locations.
