my theory is that when Mob said "So that's it? I'm just... stuck with you?" Verity interpreted that line as having a neutral or slightly positive tone, cuz he couldn't understand how Mob felt after realizing he was stuck with the thing that trapped him due to his own choice. Verity is just an AI after all... yk sometimes AI interprets human speech like plain text, they understand our words more than the emotions behind the way we speak
