Today I out loud said “I know how an elevator works” because a man kept yelling at me to “hold the elevator” while i was actively pressing the “open door” button. Not to mention we have 2 elevators but in the 6 months I’ve lived here the second elevator has worked maybe 5 weeks all together. I live on the 9th floor and the 2nd elevator is down all the time, I never knew a box that only has one purpose would be such a hassle in my life 😭💔.

In finland this is an unwritten rule and everyone most times follows this and same with trains but it’s sometimes even written next to the door

no literally this. the apartment elevators are chaos. and if they don't walk right in immediately, they're standing in the way so you can't get out. why not stand to the side!!!

I'm always surprised when someone else is in the elevator at work because most people don't use it. in every other instance you know other people will be on elevators! wtf. always wait for people to get out before you get on

Proper elevator edidate is when waiting, you pause a moment when the doors open because there may be off loading passengers. And when exiting the elevator you look before you step. How's this so difficult?
