My god, I was on SNAP years ago and it was a PROCESS to get it and I quickly became ineligible once I started working (even though I made just over minimum wage).

I was a SNAP worker too! The amount of verification people have to provide to be approved and go through eligibility review every 6 months is very extensive. They are literally just trying to fear monger

As someone who used SNAP for years, the requirements to receive benefits is most definitely checked every 6 months.

I literally just spent 2 hrs on phone interview today and was told I needed specific documents before they could confirm my eligibility and I have only 14 days to submit the docs they request.

As someone who has been unemployed in Colorado for a year and a half, I had to jump through hoops to get it going, and I have to provide documents every six months. I dread it because there’s so much shit to fill out each time.
