Money management is an art form and not a science: like it totally depends on your situation. Finance gurus say “build a 3-6 month fund and then invest only in index funds.” But that’s playing it very safe… not gonna be a lot of scale to it! Like I took out a $285K loan to start a business that now brings in $42K per month and $18K in profits. So I don’t really need to have an emergency fund because I’m not gonna fire myself and I have enough profit to basically cover any unexpected expense that arises! So instead I keep that money invested or into my business and scale faster. But starting a business at -$285K is a big risk so that wouldn’t be for everyone.
