@kayli.boyle: top 5 tips to start your healthy hair care journey🌱✨ 1. cut off those split ends✂️ split ends can’t be repaired, only temporarily sealed. if you leave them, they can continue splitting farther up the hair shaft, leading to more breakage over time. regular trims help keep your hair looking thicker and healthier while preventing you from losing more length later. 2. do a 10 minute scalp massage daily💆🏼‍♀️ your scalp is skin, and healthy hair starts there. daily scalp massages can help increase blood flow to the scalp, reduce buildup, and create a healthier environment for your hair to grow. you can use your fingertips or a scalp massager. just be gentle and consistent. 3. start scalp + hair oiling🫶 find the right hair oil for your scalp and hair type because not every oil works for everyone. i oil my scalp for density, not to make my hair grow faster. massage it in for a few minutes 1 to 3 times a week before wash day, then wash it out after 3 to 4 hours if your scalp tolerates it well. i also have other videos that go into all the do’s and don’ts of hair oiling if you want to learn more. 4. get a blood panel done🩸 if your hair feels thinner than normal, sheds excessively, or isn’t growing like it used to, it may be worth asking your doctor for blood work. things like low iron, vitamin d, b12, zinc, or other deficiencies can affect hair health. if you’re deficient, focus on vitamin rich foods and only take supplements if recommended by your healthcare provider. 5. learn your hair before buying products🤍 figure out your hair pattern (straight, wavy, curly, or coily), strand texture (fine, medium, or coarse), porosity (how well your hair absorbs and holds moisture), and scalp type (oily, dry, balanced, or sensitive). once you know those, it’s much easier to build a routine that actually works for you instead of wasting money on products that aren’t a good fit. healthy hair isn’t about buying the most expensive products. it’s about understanding your hair, staying consistent, and being patient. 🤍 #haircare #healthyhair #HairCareTips #kayliboyle

So glad to see someone finally talk about getting blood work done to know about vitamin deficiencies!!! My hair started growing faster and thicker once I started taking iron and vitamin C. I was severely anemic and was shedding so much hair and it was super thin before.
