@edmhousenetwork: The two remixes which have the dance music world talking, and we're not gonna get either one 😭 We had been waiting for John Summit's take on Everything But The Girl's "Missing" for over a year now and now Franky Rizardo has pulled his remix entirely. John Summit had been working on an orchestral version of Everything But The Girl's "Missing" and shared private messages that show conversations with Pete Tong about sending over his session files, recreating parts, working out the vocal, and even recording live strings at the right tempo. From Summit's side, this was not a casual remix idea. It was a project that had gone deep into development, and he says Pete Tong had promised to release his version before moving forward with anything else. Then a version featuring Franky Rizardo appeared. Summit went public, clarifying that his issue is with Pete Tong and not Rizardo, who he said may not have known the full context of what had already been discussed. Rizardo then announced he was pulling his remix entirely, saying once he learned more about the background it no longer felt right to be part of it. He described it as a record he is incredibly proud of but said staying true to his values matters more than putting it out. Pete Tong has still not publicly responded to any of this. Which version is your favorite? 👇@john summit @Franky Rizardo

xander :

Todd Terry's version was just fine

Tom :

Franky’s is so so much better. Keeps the vibe of the original.

Vv :

franky’s waaaaaaayyyy better. has that nostalgic feeling

Billium39 :

They’re both exactly as they should, summits plays more for a big stage and Frankie a better club vibe. Is tong just a marketing wiz and going to release both ?

kylesc11 :

If you prefer John’s remix you haven’t a clue about music

Both are phenomenal remixes, why the comparison? It’s two different styles of course they’re gonna be different

Es chistoso como armaron tanto drama por un remix de una canción que ni propia de los dos son
