I would hate this. I need time to be a failure on my own.

Let them enjoying reading make it fun. Remember they’re only 6 years old. What do they understand about the word respect! Too much pressure at a young age. Every child is different don’t put these demands. Any thing that they do whether it’s reading a phrase a page, paragraph it’s progress. Life is a lot of pressure let them go at their own pace too many demands too much stress for children at such at a young age. All kids want is the approval of their even though they don’t agree. They are not robots they are little children with little minds each child is different. As parents we could make or break them

My kids got $1 per book report but now it’s $5 because all them read chapter books now Also Bible study together daily , tv is a distraction we get to it when we’re done with everything else if we have time after gym, playing outside , homeschool activities, family , friends ,cooking, cleaning, pets ect so much to do in a day

I read to my kids every night from a young age, then paid them to read books where they could track it in a spreadsheet with pictures of the books they’ve read, tried to make it fun. As they got older I paid them a penny a page for every book they finished but never made them read, just encouraged it. It seemed to work out pretty well.

Damn dude I get having a schedule and wanting your kids to do something with their life but come on bro. That’s a bit extreme and I come from a military family. They’re kids. They’re gonna want to watch some tv once in a while just make the correction, tell em what they did wrong and give em their punishment but to throw away the damn console over some damn tv time ?? ☠️👋🏾

Your just raising sneaky kids at that point strict parenting works to a certain extent but that’s too much

But do YOU hold the standard. How many laps are YOU doing? How many miles are YOU doing? I’m all about setting a standard for my kids to hit. But if I’m unwilling to also hold it, I’m a hypocrite.

Kids are growing up hating reading now and probably will opt to not go to college

Read 20 pages a day.
Swim 25 laps a day.
52 B-Ball shots make everyday.
Sounds more like a punishment.
