It’s interesting bc there’s so many variations that have reason, significance and meaning. For example, the Los in East Los is pronounced differently than the Los in Los Angeles.

I do think there is nuance to this whole pronunciation debate because Los Feliz might be named be pronounced this way, but many Spanish speakers do say other streets names and parts of LA in Spanish

im in los feliz regularly and i cannot get myself to say this as LOS FEEEEELEZ. I say LOS FELIZ in Spanish 😬 and im born and raised in Santa Monica but say that in English 🤷🏻♀️😂
