Any debate I have with any friend, we set ground rules at this point. we each get 2, uninterrupted minutes to state our first argument. If you interrupt during these two minutes, that's a strike. 3 interruptions, 3 strikes, the debate is over and you have lost.

My solution: "30 seconds. Give me 30 seconds where you say NOTHING because intentionally or not you ARE interrupting me." And that USUALLY works at being able to see if they're actually processing what I'm saying.
