Fathers who ACTUALLY fight for custody, you can search this up, statistically they win; however, it is usually the mother whom volunteers or is the expected caretaker. This is too, demonstrated, by two working parents, the mother disproportionally doing the care-giving and household upkeeping, DESPITE the fact if she's working the same hours as her male counterpart.

Here in Texas, non custodial parent is ordered to pay about 20% of income, but only on the first 9k they earn, so let’s say dad is an oil exec and makes 50k/month, his kids are only getting $1800. That’s not winning.

The amount paid is literally decided by a math equation. It does not care about man or woman. The money owed is allocated to the caretaker for child care. Which majority of the time is the mother. $450 for groceries, clothes/shoes given how fast children grow, medical care, diapers, formula, medicine, hygiene needs, ETCETERA…is not enough to cover all that is required to survive.
