I wish I knew posting about my surgery made me famous. My tonsillectomy also included uvula removal so I don't have a dangly thing to touch in the back of my throat 🤣

Hahaha, you should see them do the surgery. It’s crazy! The whole throat is full of char! Never knew how terrifying getting a tonsillectomy was until I became a surgical tech and heard stories about people dying from them 😣

Two of my kids had tonsillectomys last year... they were 2 and 4 at the time. After seeing your original video, I'm low key actually kind of glad they never let me look at their throat to check it 😅 The smell was traumatizing as it was... I couldn't imagine being hit with the smell at the same time as that visual 🤣🤣😭😭

It’s so gross isn’t it! I had strep throat growing up so much my mom lost jobs because of me but my pediatrician kept telling her I would out grow it finally at 35 I decided I was grown enough and was ready for them to go and it was the worst pain of any surgery I have ever had and I’ve had a lot of surgeries

I hemorrhaged 9 days post op. Hemaglobin went from 13.2 down to 7.3 but not under 7 so not blood transfusion. If I wouldn’t have dropped the semester we were learning about hypovolemic shock and blood transfusion protocol about the same time. Fun to go back the next semester and be like yeah been there done that.
