Filthy Cabbage Lasagna🥬🔥 ​We made 3 types of cabbage, then filthy potatoes, so we had to make this Filthy Cabbage Lasagna! Servings 8-10 ​Ingredients ​2 lbs ground beef ​½ lb bacon, chopped ​1 large white onion, diced ​2 bell peppers, diced ​2 tbsp garlic, minced ​3 tbsp tomato paste ​3 tbsp flour ​2½ tbsp Salt-Free Tony's ​1 tbsp paprika ​2 tsp pink salt ​1 tsp Italian seasoning ​1 tsp MSG (or Worcestershire) ​2 cups beef broth ​1 large green cabbage (3 lbs) ​2 cups mozzarella, shredded ​1 cup sharp cheddar, shredded ​Instructions ​Prep Cabbage: Cut the bottom core and boil. As outer leaves soften, remove with tongs and pat dry. Trim thick center ribs so they lay flat. ​Make Gravy: Cook bacon in a large pot until crisp, remove and set aside.  Brown ground beef directly in bacon fat (do NOT drain). Add onions, cook 3 min.  Stir in tomato paste, cook for 4 minutes.  Stir in flour and seasonings. Add garlic and peppers, cook 3 min.  Pour in beef broth and MSG, simmer a few minutes until thickened. ​Assemble (3 Main Layers + Top): Leave ½ cup gravy at the bottom of a 6-qt pot or baking pan, scooping out the rest. ​Layers 1-3: Lay 5-8 overlapping cabbage leaves. Spread 3 cups meat gravy  1 cup mozzarella ¼ cup cheddar. Repeat. ​The Top: Add final cabbage leaves and top with remaining meat and sauce. ( Tip - mozzarella in the center layers and cheddar for the top.) vs what I did👍 ​Bake & Serve: Cover with lid or foil, bake at 375°F for 30 mins. Uncover, bake 15-25 mins until browned and bubbling.  (Optional-Broil a few mins for cheese char. ) ( Optional) rest 10-15 mins) Top with reserved bacon,  slice, and enjoy!
