A Nighttime Prayer for Peace and Rest Heavenly Father, As the day comes to a close and the world grows quiet, I come before You to surrender everything I am holding onto. I lay down the tasks, the conversations, the successes, and the failures of this day at Your feet. Thank You for Your grace that carried me through every hour, and thank You for the breath in my lungs. Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness for the moments today where I fell short—in my thoughts, my words, or my actions. Wash me clean and renew a right spirit within me. I also choose to forgive anyone who wronged me today, releasing any bitterness or anger so that my heart can be fully at peace. I hand over to You every worry, anxiety, and unanswered question that is weighing heavily on my mind. You are my light and my salvation, and You are the stronghold of my life; therefore, I refuse to let fear dictate my night. I trust that You are already working in the details of tomorrow, and I do not need to solve those problems tonight. Please station Your angels around my home to guard and protect me and my loved ones while we sleep. Quiet my racing thoughts, calm my body, and ease any physical tension. Grant me deep, restorative, and peaceful sleep tonight. May Your presence fill this room, creating a sanctuary of rest. When I wake up in the morning, let my first thoughts be of Your goodness and mercy. Fill me with fresh energy, wisdom, and joy to face whatever the new day brings.
