my mom insisted that my sis be in my bridal party because it was important BUT the very next year when she got married I was told it wasn't a big deal that I wasn't part of the bridal party. It mostly wasn't but it was typical.

FYI - Future brides and grooms - Don't accept conditional financial support for the wedding costs. Any $$$ from parents, grandparents, etc. shouldn't have strings attached.

I was engaged to be married when I met my husband. My parents lived 5 hours away so they came down to meet his parents. After the weekend, my dad got excited to plan the wedding with me (the POS dad was rich AF). He tried telling me about the songs I was going to have and who would sing them. It was an absolutely abhorrent situation. Thankfully, I left that guy and married the sweetest ahole ever.

My oldest asked my youngest if she would be here MOH. But she told her no, for the reason that she didn't think she could handle the responsibility. As much as I would want to see them together like that, I'm okay with her being her bridesmaid.
