I am the first to defend double standards, however, George R.R. Martin has advanced world building and sentence structure that makes ASOIAF better and more advanced than a ya fiction book. Also I would not classify the hunger games as a smut romance book anyway.

I think most of those are romantasy tho because the romance takes a huge part of its plot. Got has literally no romance, even those characters that are apparently in love aren't really showing it. Same with The Poppy War. No hints of romance

this is just ignorant. there are SO many woman authors whose books are considered real fantasy. why? because they are really well written and do not have romance as their main focus, but fantasy, just like the books in your “FANTASY” part of the video. the books in the beginning have romance as one of their primary themes and most are more YA then adult fiction. thats your reason.
