If your basement is a dungeon - paint goes a longgggg way. As well as a dehumidifier and air purifier!!! It really helps with a musty basement. So nice of you guys to open up your home.

Facebook marketplace is your bestie for budget makeover stuff! Plus if you have a habitat for humanity restore nearby you can get great stuff there too! Ps I want basement makeover content lol. (My basement is also a dungeon minus the bedrooms my hubby built from scratch for our daughters!)

I feel like sometimes people forget that when you’re paying off debts you still have children and family and friends and you can’t just put your entire life on hold at that point. It’s their childhood they only get one. Friends and family milestones are still their milestones. There needs to be balance.

the point of financial planning is to let you live the life you want without drowning in debt, and i sound like you’re achieving that! this is a great example for a realistic way of paying down debt while also living a real life

You know what? Being able to travel to be there for family without adding to debt is a win in itself. The fact that you get to do that while also still chipping away at a long term goal of paying down debt is awesome. You still have to live your life too!
