Not caring about politics is a privilege though. I feel like nowadays, whichever side of politics you’re on, whether it’s republican or democrat, kind of do define what you stand for and your views only because of the cruel state of the world right now. That being said, you can be a republican and not stand for the injustices in what’s going on in the world, and you can be a Democrat without hating republicans just for being right leaning. Overall though, hate against hate isn’t going to fix the negativity in the world, and it’s okay to have your own opinion as long as it isn’t diminishing others because of their outside qualities (features, race, color).

I agree, I have some friends who are maga, do I support maga? no but do I love my friends, yes. It's completely okay to disagree with the opinion but you shouldn't give up friendships over it bc I was friends with them way before we ever knew each others political views

agreed!! i don’t particularly align with either side of the political scale, i agree with arguments from both sides. however when i disagree with someone my first instinct is NEVER to attack their character. most arguments around politics stray for the real argument and turn into a cat fight. any conversation regarding politics should be educational on both sides. our problem is everyone strives to be right, not to be educated.

I 100% agree!! I am conservative and know many liberals/dems and I get along with them very well! If we have a political convo, we keep it civil. And it it gets a little heated, we normally just agree to drop the subject if we know we can agree to disagree. I won’t lie, I can be a little rude sometimes but that’s something I’m trying to work on!
