sir , there's little confusion here , you said while imam is going for 3rd rakat and the person who is intentionally on salat margib should stop on 3rd rakat , while imam proceeds to complete 4th rakat instead you said while imam going for 3rd rakat. pls clarify it.

What if I want to pray Maghrib but the congregation is praying Isha, and I join when the Imam is already in the second rakat? Should I also say Salam in the last rakat (with the Imam), since I only intended Maghrib?
