I get why someone would oppose baneful work, but if I understand justice work correctly, it’s fair, will not harm anyone who doesn’t have it coming, the result will be beneficial to the innocent, the literal outcome is the fulfillment of justice; not one person’s opinion of justice, but actual/objective justice. If I am understanding terms correctly, being against a justice working means being against justice itself. Why not do justice workings at every opportunity? Justice for all, everywhere the practitioner has access. I’m starting to learn these things, I could misunderstand the concept, but to me it seems like spreading justice everywhere would be as good as spreading love and kindness everywhere. Justice can be harsh, but not bad, I’m thinking of the pillars of mercy and severity being opposite complimentary pieces of the same structure. Why would anyone be against maximizing justice?

I think any woman who holds the mantle of the priestess in the modern day SHOULD know how to protect herself, because of the bs that can get thrown her way. Being a priestess means being a target of vitriol, because of what gets triggered in people. Any that being said - any woman should be able to protect herself, and speak truth to power, against misogyny, and benefit magic can be a part of that.

I've found wards much more useful than baneful magick. People will hurt themselves slamming into my walls. I've not once needed to hex anyone, I feel it's a lack mentality in all honesty. If you truly have faith, there's no need to engage with dark energy that way. It can be applied in much more constructive ways. Essentially when you do baneful magick, you still focus on something outside of you. When you could be using that energy for yourself/your community. I.e. I would've helped the threatened woman build herself up, rather than focus on a perpetrator.
