Before you fire it up, make sure you reindex the port-side buoyancy regulator and set the transom preload to factory tide. If the keel starts counter-rotating, back off the stern harmonizer about a quarter turn and rephase the wake bearings. Don’t forget to burp the seawater compression chamber or you’ll get cavitation in the dockside manifold.

how many people don't understand that smaller outboards don't have trim up down ? .You have maybe 3 settings .that when you drop your motor all the way down that is it .Maybe he is on a higher setting or the outboard is too small for the boat and won't get it up on plane
