@selfmasterycommunity: Your body knows you’re becoming overwhelmed long before your mind does. After 35 years working with people, one pattern shows up again and again. People think stress arrives suddenly. It rarely does. Your nervous system usually sends quiet signals first. Your breathing becomes a little shallower. Your shoulders lift. Your jaw tightens. You start rushing. You become less patient. Most people don’t notice these early signals because they’re already thinking about the next task. This is where mindfulness becomes practical. Mindfulness isn’t about sitting cross-legged trying to empty your mind. It’s learning to notice what’s already happening inside you. And that awareness is the first skill of Self-Mastery. Because once you notice what’s changing, you have time to respond before your nervous system becomes overloaded. In the Self-Mastery journey, this sits right at the beginning. Awareness gives you information. Information creates choice. Choice creates transformation. Today’s experiment: Pause three times today and simply ask: “What is my body telling me right now?” The goal isn’t to change anything. The goal is simply to become someone who notices. #nervoussystemregulation #nervoussystemregulationtips #nervoussystemhealing #nervoussystemreset
