Jennie’s performance was absolutely breathtaking, but it honestly feels like she doesn’t acknowledge the areas where she still has room to improve, and instead of consistently working on things like stamina and breath control, it often comes across as if she doesn’t feel the need to because her fans will praise almost everything she does and call it “iconic” even if it’s the bare minimum. at this point, I personally don’t think it’s fair to judge Jennie by the standard expectations of a typical K-pop idol as she’s aiming for a global pop career, but if she wants to keep growing in the Western music industry, she’ll need to take her weaker areas more seriously. strong stage presence can only carry you so far, but improving her stamina and breathing control would make her performances even stronger, and would show growth.
