I think we should just let Rockstar cook but heres my opinion: it should be about a new male character created by rockstar. Hes a member of the gang and the game should take place around 1875. His story should be about the earlier days of the gang and at the end of the game he saves the young Arthur, thats his redemption. In the epilouge you play as the young Arthur.

See the problem with Jack is that we’re way past the era of outlaws. As much as I love the characters we were introduced to I would very much like to be back in the days of the Wild West and see the start of the decline.

I like to see read dead 3 be quite literally a story in reverse. from read dead 1 we see the end of the story. red dead 2 is the climax or middle of the story. and read dead 3 would be the start and rising action.

Nah we need to finish the story of what happened in black water. Maybe even Dutch as the main character? We can’t continue the story from rdr1 because that’s 1914 already and it’s getting way too modern and it’s not cowboys anymore. It genuinely only makes sense end the 3rd game at the start of rdr2
