@startoverstrategy: Replying to @Midatbest Someone commented, “Our parents failed all of us.” My response is that two things can be true at the same time. We can acknowledge the impact of our upbringing. We can grieve what we didn’t receive—and recognize that in many cases our parents’ choices came from a place of love, even if misguided. We can feel angry. We can seek therapy if it’s accessible—or use books, podcasts, support groups, and other resources if it isn’t. None of that is weakness. Healing matters. But I also don’t want to stay there. We are living in a time when knowledge is more accessible than ever before. We have access to books, online education, communities, and countless voices helping us learn skills our younger selves were never taught. That doesn’t erase the challenges. But it does expand our possibilities. The goal isn’t to bypass our grief. The goal is to move through it. Because while we can’t choose the family, culture, or belief system we were raised in, we can choose what we build from here. Especially for women rebuilding after divorce after SAHDaughter and tradwife life, that shift from understanding our past to creating our future is where real freedom begins. You can honor your story without letting it become the final chapter. #RecoveringSelfTrust #WomenRebuilding #StartingOverAfterDivorce #HealingJourney #PersonalAgency
