Agreed. Live your life. Selective, you are just careful, nothing wrong with that. One needs to define friends. My friends are who are absolutely trustworthy. Very small group. Everyone else are acquaintances. Do your thing! If it doesn’t work, do something else. Intimacy is very hard to find. Good luck.
