Ranked by scale, influence, and endurance. Every fact here is real. 🇮🇳 HINDU -The largest and oldest mythology still alive today, followed by over a billion people -A single "day" of the creator god Brahma lasts 4.3 billion years -Carl Sagan noted it's the only mythology whose timescales match modern cosmology 🇬🇷 GREEK -Shaped Western art, language, and storytelling more than any other -Gods with deeply human flaws. Jealous, vengeful, dramatic -Gave us Zeus, Hercules, and Medusa, still retold 3,000 years later 🇪🇬 EGYPTIAN -One of the longest-worshipped religions ever, over 3,000 years -Built a civilization around conquering death and the afterlife -Ra sailed the sun across the sky and fought a serpent every night 🇳🇴 NORSE -The only major mythology where the gods themselves are fated to die -Ragnarök. A foretold final battle that destroys the world -Nine realms hanging from Yggdrasil, the tree holding the universe together 🇲🇽 AZTEC -Believed the universe would end unless the sun was kept moving -Four worlds had already been created and destroyed. We live in the fifth -Ruled by Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent god Some of these faded with their empires. One still shapes the lives of over a billion people today.
