I finally figured it out. Louis narrates like a poem. Everything feels breathy, lyrical, and romanticized because it’s filtered through emotion and memory. Lestat is still poetic, but he’s theatrical. His voice has swagger and momentum. Louis romanticizes the past, while Lestat dramatizes it. That’s why their narrations feel completely different.
