The solution is very simple. (1) Expand A&E ! (2) Transfer to other hospitals A&E which have spare or extra capacity! (3) Set up mobile temp A&E holding space and standby more hospital staff for surge demand !

I agree that doctors and nurses shouldn’t be blamed. However, the root cause is that we’ve increased the population faster than we’ve expanded hospitals, emergency departments, and healthcare manpower. When demand grows faster than capacity, overcrowding becomes unavoidable.

It’s very common in govt hospitals not the staffs fault . My mum who is 92 just got admitted to sengkang hospital . Registered at 3pm and waited till 11pm also not warded yet . No priority also for a 92 years old . Unless they deem life threatening if not just have to wait

Previously I went to NUH A&E. Waited more than 8hrs & got transferred to AH for ward admission as NUH still no bed. I’m grateful @both hospitals for making such arrangement.

if it's an emergency and ambulance is engaged, probably the best solution is to check which hospital A&E capacity is available and then move the patient there instead of going to the nearest hospital?

Maybe govt to review the number of hospitals & staff to cope with the constant demands to serve the people?… Fully agree that the doctors & nurses are not to be vented with angers or abuses. Suggest he seeks detailed clarification/ explanation directly with his MP or even MOH? 🤔

No lah. Im sure he is not blaming doc n nurses. We (or i ) blame the system/ infras. Speaking from similar experience from video whr parent wait at a&e waiting area n no bed.
