@savedbyhisgraceig: We spend so much of our lives and during our struggles asking God, “Why?” while forgetting to ask ourselves the same question. Christ was innocent yet He was struck and despite it, he answered cruelty with truth and mercy. It reveal’s so much about what grace looks like, loving even when love isn’t returned. Maybe that’s why the cross is so difficult to understand, it reveals a love that doesn’t depend on whether we deserve it.
