Nursing student here 🤍 I totally respect wanting a home birth, but once you reach 41 weeks, the pregnancy needs much closer monitoring because the risks gradually increase. Things like decreased placental function, low amniotic fluid, fetal distress, meconium aspiration, and even stillbirth become more concerning the longer the pregnancy continues. If labor doesn’t start on its own or there’s any concern for mom or baby, a hospital birth may end up being the safest option. Wishing her and her baby a safe delivery though.

Had prodromal labor as well …Pitocin did the works for me but with at home birth it’s not an option you need to be in a hospital setting wish her the best prodromal labor is exhausting 🥺
