@ariel.kapp: The world sees a little girl smiling in a hospital room… but I see a warrior fighting a battle every single day. 💙 My daughter has cystic fibrosis, and this vest has become part of her journey. It may look uncomfortable, and sometimes it is difficult, but it helps her fight for every breath. The breathing treatments, the machines, the hours spent sitting still… these are things she never asked for, but she faces them with so much strength. She is still a child. She still wants to laugh, play, and enjoy life. But before she can do those simple things, she has to take care of her lungs first. That is the reality of living with CF. Some people only see the happy moments. They see her smile and say, ‘She looks so good.’ And I am grateful for that smile. But behind that smile are treatments, hospital visits, worries, and a little girl showing more courage than most people will ever know. Today I surprised her in the hospital because I wanted her to feel something bigger than the illness. I wanted her to remember that she is loved, that she is special, and that even on the hardest days, she is never alone. My daughter is not just a patient. She is a daughter, a dreamer, a fighter, and a blessing. The vest and breathing system are part of her story, but they are not the story of who she is.
