I live in the Phoenix area, my electric bill is going to be about $850 this month. I have two AC units, one for each floor of my house. I don't struggle to pay the bill but I certainly have less spending money during the summers. I really don't want to get to a point where I'm struggling to pay it. My electric company tries to get rate hikes approved every year. They get approved because the Corporation Commission is mainly Republican. The two Democrats vote against the rate hikes.

They are putting a data center a couple miles from my house here in Lima Ohio. We are all pissed! Why can’t they put them where there are not a lot of people?

So they told us that the electric grid didn’t have enough power, and it didn’t have the infrastructure for us to have electric vehicles in mass. But it when it came to commercial data centers I guess it didn’t matter.
