How many days a week should you work out? For most people watching this: 3-5 days a week is fine. Not every day has to be intense. You could do a bit more or a bit less, but note: workouts every day are hard to sustain and usually result in some decreased intensity. Workouts less than 3 days a week can work but also makes habit formation a bit more difficult if you're a beginner. You can find exceptions to both, but you can use that as a rule of thumb. I think of intensity and frequency. The more frequently we do something, the less intense it'll usually have to be for us to be able to recover from it. At an extreme version, think of full body workouts every day - we'd probably need a break soon. Intensity here can refer to the weight/difficulty, but refers to the perceived exertion. That said, it's not necessarily for advanced or beginners. For each description I gave, one could argue the opposite. 6-7 days a week is what some advanced people could do if they have a specific skill they're trying to train and they've dialed in their workout splits and recovery cycles. If that sounds crazy to you, consider that most of us move every day - recovery is dependent on how intensely we exercise. Just a way to get started. Do what works best for you. Have a wonderful day! #hybridcalisthenics
