![Today, I formally begin an open-ended endeavor that I have titled the Songs From Devotion Project. This project is a catalogue of simple choruses that have [and continue to] colored my times of personal devotion to the Lord. I have been told how admirable my ability to fluidly weave words into a baroque tapestry is. You just catch me on my good days, I promise lol. I only ‘people’ on my good days. A lot of the time, when it’s just me and the Lord, all I have are melodies belted out with words born out of urgency. “You are Good”—the first chorus in this catalogue—is one of these melodies of urgency. I’ll never forget how tangible my God felt that morning when I first sang it to Him. I’ll never forget it. The full video’s up on YouTube, and you can listen anywhere else you listen to music.
