You have to follow the nanny-nanny boo-boo technique by using the neener-neener technique. Someone who is lying will try to keep on track to not forget their made up story while someone who isn’t making anything up would ask “what was that” or “why did you do that” because they don’t need to remember a specific storyline to follow.
