If you are musical theater fans, I walked down the aisle to “something good” from the sound of music. No gendered language! It’s originally a duet, but there are lots of solo covers in different musical styles. Pro tip: if you have a university with a music school in your area, you can get some phenomenally talented musicians for very reasonable rates!

Recent June 2026 wlw bride! 1. We did a custom wire cake topper from Etsy with our initials and a heart in the middle! 2. Our first dance song was the truly madly deeply cover by Yoke Lore (it’s always been “our song”). 3. My wife’s mom walked me down the aisle first and then her dad walked her down the aisle! We didn’t have a bridal party, but our best friend was our officent! Happy wedding planning and congratulations!!💕

I'm not sure if you're doing a band vs. DJ but if it's a band they'd probably be willing to change up the pronouns for your first dance. There's also queer covers of a lot of songs, that could be a good option. I really like fresh floral cake toppers, you could incorporate violets, they're edible and queer so that could be cute.
