It sucks. But at least you can launch the mission immediately. In older GTA, you have to spend several mins getting to start of thr mission 😂 I dont have the patience as an adult, I could never play them again.

but when you died a text message would pop up and you could immediately retry you didnt have to wait for the mission to pop up or drive to it

seems like skill issue. almost every GTA 4 mission takes 4-8 minutes to complete. some of them even have shortcuts. only final mission is around 15 minutes+cutscene. I have replayed GTA 4 couple months ago and after GTA 5 I was surprised how short they are. in my childhood they felt much longer
