This makes sense. My grandmother has Alzheimer’s and I’ve always “known” those with Alzheimer’s are spiritually half here in this world and half in the spiritual world. I dream a lot speaking with those that have passed since I was a child and as my grandmother’s Alzheimer’s has progressed I have been talking to her a lot more in my dreams but she hasn’t passed yet. In one dream she mentioned traveling through her lifetime healing her past self. I will even say in my dreams that I know she isn’t dead so why is she here? And she will say (telepathically) “I’m almost ‘there.’” So, over the years I’ve always wondered if this is more of a spiritual journey than what we think Alzheimer’s is just a physical diagnosis.

I wrote an essay about Alzheimer’s and the spiritual journey within it… pretty sure it sounded crazy but it was my creative approach lol

maybe it happens when being grounded becomes more difficult but crucial. since 2026 started I find myself forgetting my past and need to ground myself every day to stop floating away in time!
