@allurachanel: When muslim feminists, apologists and reformists do those linguistic gymnastics to try and make ancient texts fit modern morality, they’re still operating within a prison of someone else's design. They are trying to prove their worth to a book that was never written for them, which means they are still giving that system the ultimate authority.
