Who else was here a year ago when she mentioned building a retaining wall out of rock baskets. But that obviously did not happen. Crazy to have built the house without first addressing the wall.

You must know cold weather and water form ice and in that kind of rock it will shift sending boulders down sometimes. I think you built house way to close to that formation.

start at the top and dig down. you can move that wall back by yourself and grade it down. just do a few loads a night and it will be done by the end of this season

No homeowners insurer will ever cover a diy house build because of things exactly like that. If you ever sell that it can only be sold as is for cash only. It seems like a good idea until you look at the long term picture.
