@el_jefe_trades: Who doesn’t want to early retire? Don’t underestimate your healthcare cost due to “charmed life syndrome.” IN my estimation it is the number one early retirement/FIRE killer. No your costs and know your vulnerability! #FIRE #EarlyRetirement #Healthcare #Money #FYP
Think of how many people could retire if we had universal healthcare. Sad.

bonkers rates. seems it'd be cheaper to not pay any insurance and just pay for the exact thing u need whenever it arises

What’s the point of paying $23k a year on health insurance if you still have to pay for the operation as well. 🤷🏼♂️Why not retire and save the money and pay cash when you need to?

hey Jefe, what's the difference between the US ADR for SK hynix and owning them through an etf such as FLKR. if the entire ADR float was bought up, would it impact FLKR proportionally or are they separate entities because one is Korean and the other is US and would only go up in sympathy for each other. I don't have any experience with foreign stocks

Does this make you lean towards having a single payer system in the US?

I know a lot of Canadians complain about how our healthcare system is broken, but I am still so thankful for free healthcare❤️

51 looking to retire to a low cost of living location. Maybe a different country with free but adequate healthcare?

I’d just stop paying for healthcare and invest that money and pay cash or set up a payment plan to the medical facility. Isn’t it ridiculous?

I know a few people, that after graduating, worked hard for four years, climbing, the corporate ladder, then retired fully independently wealthy. After a long hard four year career.

I’m 53 and hoping to retire before 60 but know that health expenses are stressful and unpredictable to a certain extent. This is the major reason that I am not retired already. It’s stressful.

studies have shown that universal health care is cheaper per person than the American Health Care system. life expectancy in Canada is quite a bit higher than America. Just something to think about

Good call on MOP costs in a worst case scenario that could double your healthcare expense for the year. Great perspective
