@theoceantourist: La Jolla has been a beautiful feeding stop for a massive Fin whale, estimated around 75–80 feet long. That’s actually larger than many of the blue whales we see during Blue Whale season—though of course, blue whales can grow well beyond 75–80 feet. On rare occasions, we’ll spot a blue whale pushing 90 feet. But this past week has been all about one incredible Fin whale who seems to have found a krill buffet all to itself. Every day is different, every trip is different, but if you’ve joined us recently, there’s a good chance you witnessed this impressive giant cruising just offshore. Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather and the wildlife. Till next time. 🎥 aboard @San Diego Whale Watch #FinWhale #LaJolla #WhaleWatching #MarineLife #SanDiegoWildlife
