I haven’t had a dyshidrotic eczema flare up since I started Tirzepatide 16 months ago

I'm so glad she's not my doctor. I have an autoimmune disorder + the GLP-1 has been LIFE CHANGING.

Yea, I’m a modern physician. I’ve got a state license and national board cert that allows me to exercise medical judgment and try things within reasonable scope. And not writing because insurance MIGHT not cover it, is a sad, sorry reason.

the reduction of inflammation alone is well worth it.

This is like the pain doctor that asks if your pain is severe enough to interfere with sleep then tell you she won’t prescribe because “we don’t use pain medicine for sleep”

Shouldn’t you give the patient the choice of paying for it out of pocket though? I’m confused

I haven’t had a lupus or RA flare since starting zepbound. I’m positive the complete overhaul of my diet (focus on whole foods and fiber and protein) had a lot to do with it too. But nonetheless, it’s been AMAZING.

I understand GLP-1s aren’t without risk but I’m so confused why she wouldn’t be okay with a trial for MS if there wasn’t some other contraindication

Talked to a cardiologist that was like her, who was less familiar with the overwhelming scientific literature at this point showing GLP ones have a cardiac benefit then I was and wouldn’t even consider a GLP one. Immediately found a new Doctor Who was familiar with the research and prescribed it and I’ve benefited greatly.

I'm 310 lbs. I have thyroid disease, adhd, and pcos. I can't get a prescription even written unless I have type 2 diabetes. I can't get an A1C ran because my fasting blood sugars arent above 110.

I'd love to hear ALL the benefits. I know some which are already great but I'd like to know all.

When I was in a glp 1 all my joint pain was gone and it was amazing I felt so good. The only reason why I stopped taking it was because of the nausea and vomiting

Zepbound was the first drug that helped my psoriatic arthritis. And I've been losing the weight that I gained as a result.

It has help tremendously with my inflammation and psoriasis. I do pay out of pocket from a compound pharmacy. Her take is wild to me as someone who was 98% covered with psoriasis and was in pain all of the time

It’s important to know you don’t have to stay with a certain doctor. You can go find a new provider.

can you post all the benefits of a GLP-1? I feel like there is more than what the public is being told.

I have been on zepbound for 18 months. it was for weight loss. but the best benefit has been the anti inflammatory components to it. i have asthma, the kind that triggers from exercise as well as allergies. before the glp1 meds I had attacks at least weekly. I haven't had an attack in 16 months.

The sad part is… there’s been a ton of data out there for years, but not from the US. One would have to consult Spain and Europe’s research data. As we know, the US is far behind in research efforts on many fronts.
